Leaked : Images, Specifications and Price of Xiaomi Redmi 5A Smartphone

Chinese electronics and software company, Xiaomi Inc. whose released several devices this year, including Mi 6, Mi A1, Mi Max 2 and Mi Mix 2. The company recently launched Redmi Note 5A in China running the latest version of MIUI 9. The new device spotted at the FCC document comes with the model number MDG6S and is said to be a new variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A which is dubbed as Redmi Note 5A Prime or Redmi Note 5A Plus.

Now, with a series of leaks and rumours, it appears that Xiaomi is getting ready with their next Redmi Note. Redmi Note 4 was a huge hit in India, and the anticipation of Redmi Note 5 is very high. The company recently launched their mid-range dual camera smartphone Mi A1 in the country under Google’s Android One initiative. Redmi Note 5 is still waiting for a launch in China, and the smartphone will probably make it to India by December.

The successor of the Redmi 4A is expected to come with minor improvements while costing the same. Xiaomi is anticipated to release the Redmi 5A later this month. The budget offering from Xiaomi surfaced through a leak from Slash Leaks.

The Redmi smartphones from Xiaomi are highest ever grossing products for the company in countries like India and China. Currently Xiaomi is selling the Redmi 4, Redmi 4A and Redmi Note 4 under the Redmi brand.The upcoming Redmi smartphone will be successor to the already available Redmi 4A and it will be called the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. Reportedly, The Xiaomi Redmi 5A will be available for purchase starting 20th October for CNY 799.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A Specifications :The Redmi 5A will possibly come with a metal construction similar to the Redmi 4. The front of the phone shall be occupied by a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display along with three capacitive buttons. Under the hood, the Redmi 5A is presumed to pack the quad-core Snapdragon 427 SoC which is a slightly upgraded version of Snapdragon 425 chipset.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A Release Date and Pricing :
Till now, Xiaomi has not announced any specific release date of the Redmi 5A, but speculations indicate that the launch might happen by the end of this month. Speaking of the pricing, the base variant (2GB/16GB) may cost around 599 Yuan (Rs. 5999 approx.) and the top model should retail for 699 Yuan (Rs. 6999 approx.).
